Our poor little blog has been neglected for so long! I am going to try to be much better! We just live such an exciting life that it is hard to find time to tell about all of our activities! Yeah right! This year has been a very busy one though. We welcomed sweet little Carson to this world on December 9th at 12:12 pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was just perfect! He is now seven months old. My how time flies! Addison is an amazing big sister....when she wants to be!

Okay, I know it's been a long while since I've updated, but we've been very busy and I never could have imagined how much harder the second pregnancy would be. I am so thankful for a child who will sit and watch tv and a husband who cooks and cleans! Over the past couple of months we have celebrated Addison's third birthday, traveled to Atlanta, and been a part of Adam's brother's wedding. The past two weekends have been so wonderful! We have not done a single thing, and I've loved every minute!!

Our 1st full day at the beach!

Today was our first full day at the beach. Addison loved the sand but not the ocean. She has been so excited about our trip. Every morning for the past couple of weeks, the first thing out of her mouth was, "Mommy, I'm ready to go to the beach!" We ate at The Wolf Bay Lodge tonight, and Addison ate shrimp for the first time!

Addison's 1st Trip to the Library!

Since it was way too hot to play outside yesterday, I decided that it would be so much fun to take Addison to the public library to get a library card and let her check out books. She was so excited that she kept picking out books to check out. We ending up leaving with about 20 books! I'm so glad that she loves reading! She now loves to read to us, which is just hilarious to see what she will say. You never know what will come out!

This weekend was very busy! Adam's grandparents came early Friday morning to prepare for his surgery that was this morning at St. D's. Saturday night, Blake and Elizabeth (my brother-in-law and future sister-in-law) had a shower. It was very nice, but very, very HOT! Addison had so much fun too! The host's house had a beautiful pool, and Addison was determined that she was going to swim. We kept telling her that she did not bring her swimming suit, but that didn't stop her. She told Adam that she could just swim naked, and she did...well she kept her panties on! Sunday, her cousin "Little Abby" came from Memphis to stay and we went swimming at "Uncle Bake's" pool. She gets very brave sometimes in the water, which is out of character for her.

I know it has been a long time since I've updated, but we've been recovering from a long school year. That and the fact that we have not really done anything exciting to tell about. We have spent the first weeks of our summer vacation sleeping, swimming, and playing. I love the summer!!

This is the picture from our second sonogram on June 2. We finally feel that it is safe to announce our wonderful news. Addison is so excited, and she thinks that the baby is in her tummy! I know that she will be an awesome big sister and a good little helper! Our baby is due to arrive December 20. We will find out if it is a girl or a boy at our July appointment!

Wow! It is so hard to believe that Spring Break has come and gone! We were all off, so we took full advantage and took a little vacation to New Orleans. We had so much fun going to the aquarium, zoo, and insectarium. Now we are on the countdown for summer! Eight weeks today!

We have been working on potty training! It is pretty frustrating, but we are so ready to say goodbye to diapers! Addison has done really well and loves her little potty. She gets so excited when it starts playing music after she goes potty! She tells us all the time that she's a big girl now using the potty. We are so proud of her!

I am so far behind on updating our blog! These are pictures from the weekend that we went to the Beau Rivage in Biloxi. That was the last weekend in January! We had a lot of fun, and the Beau was so, so nice!
Next week is Spring Break and we are going to New Orleans for three days. We are so very excited. Addison loves animals, so we are going to the zoo, aquarium, and insectarium. Maybe it won't take me a month to post those pictures!

John Riley won first place, and Addison won 2nd place at the Beef O'Brady costume contest. They were of course the cutest there!
